A platinum blonde pocket rocket, Jesse aka little J, has taken the Gold Coast hip hop & R n b scene by storm.
Starting out her career playing open format with residencies at Orion Hotel & The Avenue as well as guest spots and events, little J’s love for hip hop and R n b slowly began to take over her sets. She decided to make hip hop her main focus and specialty, rising up to the challenge of a male dominated genre in an already predominantly male industry.
She began to release mixes on SoundCloud and MixCloud, garnering thousands of listens within the first month and catching the attention of a local agency. Her mixes were eventually picked up by 105.7 Radio Metro where she now holds a weekly hip hop show, “What’s Poppin’” every Monday at 9pm.
She has held residencies with monthly Gold Coast club nights Issa Vibe and Hip Hop Hooray and headlined Shades, Sundays at Stockies, Komune, Club Icon and many more. In 2019 she was invited to support Aussie hip hop artist Chillinit as part of the Warm Up for FOMO Festival in Brisbane and has entertained huge clients such as KFC, The Star, Westpac, Coffee Club, Sephora, David Jones, McDonalds, Griffith & Bond Universities and more national and international brands.
As well as focusing on her DJing, little J is also a full time musician, singer and songwriter and is probably the most in demand person in the Gold Coast music industry... but she always makes time for a hip hop set.
